The Client's Vision

To leave a powerful and tangible recorded legacy for his family and future family members, that his mother along with his father bequeathed to the Black community and the community of Natchitoches Parish in Louisiana.

The Execution

Produce a documentary to share with the community and the world about the legacy of a family matriarch, Emma Robinson-Willliams, who overcame the challenges of her era that simultaneously tells who she is through the lens of family and community.

The Solution

Created and developed a documentary, “Woman on the Barbed Wire Fence,” that chronicled the story of Emma Robinson-Williams, who was the matriarch of her family, an educator, community organizer, civil rights leader, and a change agent. Produced by Executive Director, Dr. Ross F. Williams Jr.,  Co-Executive Director and Location Scout Manager, Niquita Spearman, NLS Marketing and Events, Digital Producer, Matthew Freeman, Big Rhino Media, and Production.
